What you need: The capacity to defeat a level 53 enemy as well as: Cheese (required), Gloves (required, leather will do) and healing items (recommended)
The Quest Reward: 6,325 hitpoint XP and 4 Quest points

In order to do this quest, you're going to need gloves and cheese. Both are easy to get. Port Sarim's grocery store sells cheese (buy a few, just in case) and gloves can be crafted very easily or bought in a cloting store, such as that in Varrock.

To start the quest, head to Taverly. You'll see a little boy standing next to a garden right near the entrance. Talk to him and agree to help him retrieve his ball. You'll need to go northwest to reach the entrance to the Witch's house. When you get to the door you'll find it locked. Search the plant next to it, then use the key you find to unlock the door.

Once inside, head up the staircase, then into the bedroom. You'll see a diary on the table. Pick it up then read it. Read all the way to the end or you'll be unable to finish this quest. Once you're done, go back downstairs.

Now head too the room to the north and descend the ladder. This is where the gloves come in. The 'security system' is actually an electrified gate. Open the gate while wearing your gloves and no harm will come to you. Next, open the cabinet on the wall then search it to find a magnet.

Go back up the ladder and head to the door that leads to the garden. Again, this is locked. This is where the cheese comes in. Drop it next to the mouse hole (look around for it) and a mouse will come out. Use the magnet on the mouse and it will unlock the door for you.

Now you must proceed with caution at this point because if the witch sees you, she'll teleport you back to the beginning and you'll lose all the progress you've made.

Stay behind the hedges, as the witch can't see you. When she comes near, stand still behind a hedge and you'll be ok. This isn't very difficult. Make your way to the fountain on the northern side of the garden. Search it and you'll find the final key. Make your way to the end of the garden, continuing to avoid the witch. When you reach the end, unlock the door with your latest key.

Now you'll have to fight the witch's creation. It has four forms. The levels of the shapeshifter go from 19, 30, 42 and finally 53. I fought this thing at level 38 and, using prayer and a lot of cake, had little trouble beating it. When you're done, grab the ball and sneak back out (again, watch out for the witch!). Make your way back to the boy and return the ball to him for your reward.
