Immortals are the 'modern' Dragoon in the Starcraft universe. They deliver punishing damage to Armored targets while staying safe against powerful attacks behind their hardened shields.
Immortal Special Abilities and Upgrades
Note the massive damage the Immortal delivers to armored opponents. They should be used only for that purpose. It's sad to see such an expensive piece of machinery swarmed by Zerglings but that's what happens. They're weak to enemies that deliver light, fast attacks. Their Hardened Shield will make even siege tanks' barrages fall to 10 damage, so long as the shield survives. Accompany your Immortals with a Sentry so it can use Guardian Shield to reduce ranged damage further.
Immortals are expensive but powerful when utilized properly. You can't just spam these without knowing what the opponent is countering with. Use them as tanks in front of your other units when attacking an enemy base so that they can soak up the damage for the others.
