Starship Enterprise NCC-1701A modelNX-01 Enterprise Model by Polar Lights

Starship Models by Polar Lights

They don't make as much Trek stuff as they used to, I tell ya. I can't find a decent model anywhere but auction sites for like $100. Those are the old kind and are great collector's items. The new ones by polar lights are much larger than those ever were and are designed to be lighted. I think these would be great hanging from the ceiling of a darkened room with the lights running. The Enterprise A model is a whopping 33 inches long and the NX-01 Enterprise model is 24 inches. I told you they were big. I anxiously await models of the Galaxy and Sovereign classes from these people.

The Star Trek Encyclopedia

The Star Trek Encyclopedia

Originally released in 1997, this version has been updated to include the end of DS9, Insurrection and up to the fifth season of Voyager. I don't see a newer one around. I guess this was the last edition. Still, it has over 5000 entries and plenty of color photos. I like that it fully covers DS9 at least. I'm not really worried about Voyager being covered completely. I've read this book and it's great. When it was new it was very expensive but can be purchased for a pretty reasonable price now. This is one huge book.

Voice Operated Lamp Dimmer

Voice-Controlled Lamp Dimmer

Why turn that lamp on manually. Live in the future with this Star Trek voice controlled lamp dimmer. Order your lamp around as you would if you had quarters on the Enterprise! This device accepts simple voice commands to change the lighting by 3 different levels. With the auxiliary lighting feature this device doubles as a night light! To top off a cool thing, it actually responds in Majel Roddenberry's voice! I think it looks a little cheesy but perhaps your electrical socket is hidden or you don't mind the look.

The Worf Bat'lethThe Gowron Bat'leth

Klingon Bat'leths

These are Bat'leths, the favored weapon of the Klingons. Amazon.com has about 8 different designs of this fine weapon, but I decided to pick the two I like the most. Click the name of the batleth you're interested in to check the price. They're not all that expensive considering they're both huge and made of stainless steel. The Worf Bat'leth, on the right, comes in at 48" in length. The Gowron version of the bat'leth to the left is a full 5 feet long. I think the Gowron version is very cool looking and would bring a look of majesty hanging on any wall.
