Command and Conquer 3 Walkthrough GDI Mission 4, The White House

Return to the Command and Conquer 3 Guide Index

The fourth GDI mission takes place in Washington, D.C.. Your objective is to retake the White House and bolster GDI morale, showing the world that NOD is under control. Your efforts in Langley will pay off here, as GDI air strikes are available. But first, you must eliminate any NOD anti-air positions in the area, those being to the northeast and northwest. Be mindful of the shredder turrets as you perform this task.

Position the bombing run over the center of the area and watch as the firehawks destroy every last one of the NOD. When the reinforcements arrive, load them into the APCs and take out the black hand who are likely nearby, then use them to guard while you build up your base. The best place to unpack the MCV is probably right where it sits. First build a refinery, then a power plant.

With your core base established, build a barracks and armory and get out some snipers to put into the buildings to the west and east. Build a command post while you get the snipers. I chose to place two snipers in each building, for good measure. I recommend also at this stage that you go about with some grenadiers to clear the buildings that nod has garrisoned in the city, to clear the way for your first real attack force.

Build a war factory and build about six predator tanks, and eight APCs. Load two grenadiers, three snipers and three missile squads into them. If your barracks sits idle and you have extra cash, make extra stuff to guard your base or even reinforce the all-vehicle army I recommended.

Head first to the power plants, cleaving your way up the western side of the map. Keep your army rolling, and build more tanks (few) and APCs (many) back at your base (don't bother loading them, except for maybe a couple snipers). When the power plants are out, you'll see the cloaking fields have dropped inside the NOD base and their numbers are comprised of many infantry.

Take the force you've been building during your offensive and push straight north into the nod base, while your other force attacks from the northwest. It should be plenty to smash the enemy. Ignore the buildings until you've completely wiped out all of the infantry.
