Command and Conquer 3 Walkthrough NOD Mission 8, Sarajevo

Return to the Command and Conquer 3 Guide Index

If you want to get the cargo there unharmed, you must head to the east, keeping a vehicle in the front at all times. Watch for guardian cannons that will shoot from range as you hug the mountain and curve around. When you see the one that is unavoidable on the eastern side of the GDI base, try to keep the cargo in the middle as you head past, so that the guardian does not fire upon it.

Heading east, you'll see a battle and Nod forces kicking some GDI ass. Wait it out to avoid the truck getting hit, then head on as the friendly Nod head to the west. You shouldn't encounter much more resistance on your way, just keep an eye out!

When you get control of the base, build a crane, then a refinery at the tiberium field southeast of your base. Your crane should build a tech center. Start making obelisks at the entrances to your base, and back them up with some units to hold the defense. Avatars should be produced en masse as well as black hand.

Defend for a good while. Fortunately the attacks never scale up so as to be a real challenge. Build a few extra refineries and sell them, then be sure to protect that southeastern field from Nod fire. Try to get two harvesters and one refinery on each of your two tiberium fields. An obelisk with a small varied force should do just fine to protect the southeast (throw in an avatar for good measure.). Shredder turrets will help take out infantry that could otherwise take down your obelisks, but make sure to get some minor anti-air coverage to the southwest to protect your black hand and avatars from orca attacks.

Convert temple prime into a superfortress. Continue creating avatars. Make about twenty, along with an army of black hand. Keep them at all entrances to your base to serve as guards at first. Wait it out, and Nod forces will come and completely destroy the GDI base. When they do, you will learn that it is in fact a rogue Nod army and must be defeated. Kane will grant you access to beam tanks. Initally, get one to power each of your (hopefully 4) obelisks around your outer ring to enhance their damage and range. Build several more (their power combines) to use in your first assault.

When you feel comfortable, send about ten avatars, six beam cannons and fifteen black hand to the Nod base to the west. Leave the others to guard from the attacks of the southern-most base. Be sure to put your black hand up front so they can rush in and go wild while your others try to pop the obelisks as quickly as possible. The conclusion of the fight should be swift with so many forces. Afterward, send what remains to the southeast and attack the Enemy base there while you rally all the rest of your forces to finish the job. Give them a fast lesson on what happens to those who oppose Kane.
