Your first objective will be to harvest resources. You must collect 700 Resource Units (RUs) to continue. A useful hotkey to utilize with your resource collector is the 'h' key when it is selected. This will automatically harvest the nearest resources to the harvester and return them to the closest drop point. It will take a few trips, but shouldn't take too long.
The next thing you must do is build a fighter construction facility. This is done through the build manager. Press the 'b' hotkey to get to it more quickly. Select the fighter facility and it will be built. When the fighter facility is complete, construct an interceptor squadron as instructed.
When the interceptors are complete you will see a number of target drones leaving chimera station. You'll be instructed to destroy them. An easy way to do this is to select the interceptors (hotkey them if you like) and enter the sensors manager by pressing the space bar. Hold the control key and drag a box around the target drones with your left mouse button. Your interceptors will now attack all of the target drones.
After the drones are destroyed you'll be alerted that a squadron of Vagyr bombers are en route to attack chimera station. Fear not, for the station launches a couple interceptor squadrons you can use to attack the Vagyr bombers. Fighters are designed to take out bombers and other such small craft so the battle will be short.
Despite the fact that you probably destroyed the bombers before they could do any real damage chimera station goes offline. The mothership must launch. You'll be instructed to build bombers to defend the mothership. Build two squadrons. Hotkey the interceptors and have them clear the enemy from the area while the bombers are being built.
You might fall under attack by an enemy frigate. Use the bombers to destroy them. Hotkey the bombers into their own group so as to use them more effectively. Once your two bombers squadrons are built, create another two bomber and interceptor squadrons bringing you to four each. The Vagyr will bring in hyperspace gates which must be destroyed by the bombers lest the Vagyr bring in reinforcements. Focus on one at a time until all are destroyed.
When the hyperspace gates are destroyed the mission is over.
