Mission 12 - Thaddis Sabbah

Get your ass in gear and reinforce your fleet ASAP. Get upgrades you need and make your resource collectors get to work. I used everything I had and began a push toward the station very early. I found a Vagyr attack force there, comprised of an ungodly amount of frigates. The destroyers, battlecruisers and dreadnought will be a great help. Make sure your battlecruisers have fire control towers!

The capital ship might you posess will rip through the Vagyr frigates like a hot knife through butter. As you progress further north, keep an eye on your units. Reinforce fighters who seem to be especially vulnerable in this situation due to the large number of assault frigates. Still, they're drawing fire from your capital ships which is a must. After each skirmish dock them (fortunately they can dock at battlecruisers).

When you see the Vagyr platforms on your sensors, stop! Use the dreadnought's extreme range to eliminate them without so much as a scratch. Around this time, Makaan will likely jump in with his flagship. He demands the cores you posess and says that there can be only one Sajuuk. At this point, you will want to move your mothership along with everything else to the north so that your fleet can better protect them from the Vagyr. They'll send battlecruisers and destroyers at you from the sides so keep an eye on your flanks as the mothership relocates.

On your way, you'll see the carriers are launching bombers and such toward your relatively undefended mothership, carriers and shipyard. Use your fast-attack squadrons to dispatch them as they come while the rest of the fleet moves to take them out. When you get close to the installation you'll see a shipyard. Destroying it is a major victory because it's been building reinforcements for the enemy all this time.

You'll be informed that you need marine frigates to get Captain Sobaan out of the starbase. Build a couple of them and bring them toward your fleet, who should be destroying the Vagyr forces surrounding the shipyard at this time.

When the fleet has finished eliminating the Vagyr forces around the starbase, including the vagyr flagship, set your forces to passive mode so they don't destroy the command station. Send in the marine frigate and rescue Captain Soban. Now simply wait until he reaches the mothership for the mission to be complete.
