Mission 4 - Gehenna Outskirts
Your goal in this mission is to destroy the three hyperspace inhibitors. You will want to reinforce your fleet first and get your economy running. Hopefully you still have six resource collectors and a mobile refinery. Set the refinery to guard the harvesters and tell them to go do their duty. There is a resource field not too far away so they should be safe enough for now. Amass an armada of at least eight interceptors, four each of pulsar and gunship corvettes and four flak/torpedo frigates. Six bomber squadrons are vital to deal damage to the inhibitors. Finally, don't forget to research speed and armor upgrades for the units you're using.
Send the fleet you made to take out one of the hyperspace inhibitors. Your mothership shouldn't be left undefended so you may want to build some frigates and corvettes to protect it. Not many are needed to do this job. You should be informed that you need to capture the hyperspace gate near one of the inhibitors. Build two marine frigates to accomplish the job while your other ships take out the inhibitors. There aer several on each asteroid and all must be cleared to complete each objective. When you're done make sure your ships don't take out the hyperspace gate. Let your marine frigates capture it while the other ships hold off any enemies that try to prevent you from doing so.
It won't take too long to destroy all the hyperspace inhibitors with such a large force. When you've finished you'll hyperspace very close to the Vagyr command station. If enough of your ships survived it will be a cakewalk. If not, hold off for a moment and build some reinforcements. I charged all out and wiped them out in minutes.
