Magicka Weapons List

Weapon Info, Active Abilities, and Where to Find

This weapon list will tell you all the chapters you can find these in. Look to the individual chapter walkthroughs and you'll find that the weapon names are bolded so it's easy to tell where to get them.

Chapter 1, 7 - Excalibur
Damage Type: Medium Physical
Special: Slow, Knockdown
Info: This weapon is for novelty. It can't dish the damage with that slow attack. Knockdown can be useful on any weapon for stunning a target.

Chapter 1, 4, 5 - Captain's Axe
Damage Type: Medium Physical
Special: Medium Speed
Info: Found throughout the campaign, you may use this early but quickly discard it.

Chapter 2, 4 - Warhammer
Damage Type: Medium Physical
Special: Medium Speed
Info: Not too slow, but not too damaging either.

Chapter 2 - Gram
Damage Type: Medium Physical
Special: Kills Fafnir Instantly
Info: You only want this to complete the Stuff of Legends Achievement. You have to hold on to it from Chapter 2 all the way to the end of 11.

Chapter 2 - Sword of the Masters
Damage Type: Medium Physical
Special: Fires magical blasts when you're at full health
Info: Master Sword from Zelda. It's very powerful when you first get it. Using the special is hard � use your personal shield to prevent incoming damage. Even 1 HP loses the ability.

Chapter 2 - High Quality Goblin Dirk
Damage Type: Low Physical
Special: Fast
Info: I'd hate to see a low quality Goblin dirk.

Chapter 3 - Skyward Spear
Damage Type: Medium Physical/Lightning
Special: Medium Speed
Info: Average weapon, nothing special here. Use it on wet enemies.

Chapter 3 - Blade of Surt
Damage Type: Medium Physical/Fire
Special: Sets target on fire
Info: With repeated hits you can get a target really blazing, but it pales in comparison to other weapons.

Chapter 3 - Exotic Blade
Damage Type: Medium Physical
Special: Fast Attack/Armor Piercing
Info: Now you're talking. It's great for eating through armored opponents, and the attack speed is insane compared to everything before it.

Chapter 3 - Mace of the Molten Core
Damage Type: High Physical
Special: Sets target on fire, Slow
Info: This is not so hot. You'd be better off with a Blade of Surt.

Chapter 3 - Mace of the Earth
Damage Type: High Physical
Special: Slow, Knockback
Info: This one can be very tricky to get. The sad part is, it's not worth the effort!

Chapter 3 - M60
Damage Type: Low Physical (per shot)
Special: Rapid-fire, ranged weapon
Info: Ahh, Magicka is such a quirky game. You can wield a Machine gun if you finish Chapter 3's boss fight without losing a house. This is one cool weapon, and can fire from behind a shield!

Chapter 4 - Mjolner
Damage Type: Medium Physical
Special: Slow, Lightning Strike
Info: The lightning strike is actually quite powerful! Wet enemies then smack them for 2k damage. It's a bit slow, but that will 1-hit a lot of enemies. It's actually not a terrible idea to use this in the Rain.

Chapter 4 - Blade of Chill
Damage Type: Medium Physical/Cold
Special: Slow, Cold Cone on attack
Info: This can slow a few enemies in front of you. It's really not that great, though.

Chapter 5 - Sausage on a Stick
Damage Type: Low Physical
Special: Fast, Lures Enemies
Info: If you want to be the tank. Maybe you have an Aristo-Staff or Staff of War and want to lure the enemy to attack you instead of a friend. Beyond pointless in single player.

Chapter 5 - Thunderblade
Damage Type: Medium Physical/Lightning
Special: Medium Speed
Info: Pass on this.

Chapter 5 � Knife of Counter-Striking
Damage Type: Low Physical
Special:Very fast, and increases your movement speed
Info: You may never find something as good as this. The speed boost even increases your turning rate when using Beam magick. It stacks with Haste, as well!

Chapter 6 - Tyrfing
Damage Type: Medium Physical
Special: Always Hits
Info: Always hits means Tyrfing will teleport you if necessary to hit an enemy. That's actually a tactically useful ability, as you could teleport with this then unleash area magick!

Chapter 8 � Frost Cleaver
Damage Type: Medium Physical
Special: Medium Speed, Freezes Target
Info: Kind of cool for actually going all the way to freezing. Since weapons are for utility more than damage dealing in Magicka, this one could come in handy.

Chapter 8 - Crowbar
Damage Type: Low Physical
Special: Armor Piercing, Fast
Info: It's a crowbar and it pierces armor. So what? I'd rather use an Exotic blade to that end.

Chapter 8 - Stung
Damage Type: Medium Physical
Special: Fast Attack, Glows
Info: It's a decent damage dealer, but the special is quite pointless. We're not in Lord of the Rings, so why do I need it to glow? Would be good for screenshots and nothing else!

Chapter 9 � Cursed Blade
Damage Type: Medium Physical/Poison
Special: Poisons the target
Info: Poison isn't that great, unless you want to stab them then go behind a shield...

Chapter 9 � Morgul Blade
Damage Type: Low Physical
Special: Medium Speed/Poisons Target
Info: As above.

Chapter 10 � Ring of the Phantom
Damage Type: Low Physical
Special: Knockdown, Threat 0
Info: With this, you won't be targeted in Multiplayer. Utterly useless in single player

Chapter 11 � Axe of the Dwarf Champion
Damage Type: High Physical
Special: Slow
Info: Bah, Next!

Chapter 11 � Holy Divider
Damage Type: High Physical
Special: Armor Piercing but Slow Speed
Info: Now you're talking. This can kill a lot of enemies in one shot, and it is great for busting through armor.

Chapter 11 � Arcane Saber
Damage Type: High Arcane
Special: Fast
Info: One of the highest damage dealers in the game (per second). Useless if the opponent has arcane resistance but not many of them do. Looks great, to boot.
