You start in an easily defendable location with three oil derricks to the southeast. Begin your base construction, capturing the derricks as soon as possible, then set up a defensive front near those derricks. Since you can build in the area around tech buildings, construct a couple of sentry guns around the derricks to defend them, and fully garrison the building nearby. This is an excellent place to defend, yes. The Americans have a wide area of control around the city so I made an attack force of infantry (many conscripts and about six tesla troopers.) and went on a search and destroy mission to reveal most of the map. I got a lot done with this group while my base was constructing V3 rocket launchers and rhino tanks. I put the V3s in their own group so I can order them to fire on structures while the rest of my forces hang back to protect them. This worked out perfectly and I had the base conquered with minimal losses. I prepared a barracks for deployment when I had control of the battle lab, which I made an engineer and sent him in a flak track across the map to take care of. When the battle lab is captured it disappears and is replaced by the psychic beacon and a countdown. Concentrate your forces around the beacon to defend it and if it sustains any damage, repair it immediately. The Americans will send rocketeers to attack the beacon so make the barracks you deployed near the beacon your primary and pump out some flak troopers. This should be fairly easy to accomplish, just play it smart - once the flak troopers are sufficient to defend against the rocketeers make tesla troopers and the like to ensure your victory.
