Heidelberg: The Famous Liberation

Mission Objectives:

    Your hydrofoils will help to clear the way for MCVs to land on the beach. The co-commander's dolphins make great teammates.Escorting the MCVs is a cinch. Group your hydrofoils and head north, using attack move. You'll blow four twinblades out the sky. Your co-commander will arrive with dolphins. You can use the hydrofoils' secondary weapon jammer ability on the tesla coils so the dolphins can destroy them. Use strike target or take position commands to make your co-commander respond more effectively. The MCVs should then be in position.


    Your forces are faced with a dauntingly powerful Soviet base full of anti-air turrets and tesla coils. You can complete this mission using a force consisting almost entirely of vindicators, but you'll need to defend your base. Be sure to take the advanced aeronautics upgrade as soon as possible.

    When you first start, build a power plant. You will then need two refineries and another power plant. The forces you have are enough to defend your base for the moment, but work on two multigunner turrets all the same. Place them dead north of your base, and garrison one with a javelin and the other with a peacekeeper.

    An army like this is all you need to use while your vindicators do most of the dirty work. Keep them placed and reinforced to defend your base.While you build an airfield, move your starting forces north to stand between the two turrets you created. You will want to create a few more turrets as time goes by, starting with one more javelin-garrisoned multigunner for now. Make Make four vindicators from your airfield. Hotkey them all into a group, then begin their never-ending bombing runs. Start with the barracks, then the second barracks directly north of your base.

    Work on a third power plant, and second airfield while your bombers do their dirty work. The second set of targets you should engage are the super reactors north of your base. The co-commander will mainly be defending, but the AI occasionally makes a push to the east and might eventually take out some reactors on its own. Make four more vindicators at your second airfield and hotkey them into a second group.

    Once you have two full squadrons, make an armor facility and pump out a few more soldiers from your boot camp. Reinforce your base defenses with a guardian tank or three, at least one on target painter duty, and consider building another multigunner/javelin position. Work with your bombers to take out targets to the north, eventually moving on to anti-air turrets for easier runs.

    Your vindicators can attack in groups to knock out anit-air defenses, freeing them to later hit the iron curtain.Once all four super reactors on the front are down, the soviet commander will taunt you and likely sell the border turrets to be able to power those around the Iron Curtain.

    With your base reinforced defensively, you can throw up a third airfield and hotkey a third group of bombers. Keep your bomber groups separate from now on for sure so that you have the ability to all in airstrikes. Destroy the flak cannons around the eastern edge of the section of base containing the iron curtain. Once you have a third vindicator squadron, start building more guardian tanks and peacekeepers/javelin soldiers.

    Assist Agent Tanya at your discretion at this point. All you need to do is destroy the war factory, barracks and construction yard to the west. It's some free experience for your bombers. The rest of your funds will go to replacing aircraft. Work on hitting the headquarters once the iron curtain is down. Leave a squadron for dealing with incoming apocalypse tanks. With that, victory should be easy to achieve. Destroy the headquarters and the production structures to wrap up.
