Gibraltar: The Enemy of our Enemy

Mission Objectives:
  • Destroy the Hangars
  • Recover the Assault Destroyers
  • Eliminate the King Oni
  • Set up an Expansion base in the southewest
  • Eliminate the Empire base

    When you take control of Tanya, head to the northwest, using attack move. Mow down the Empire of the Rising Sun infantry. Tanya can blow up vehicles faster than Natasha, but it's more risky for her. Use the take position command to send Natasha to places you want her to bomb. Take any health crates as soon as you need them. Once the path is clear to the Empire base, stop and look for the King oni on your map. Order Natasha with strike target to take him out. Tanya doesn't need to sit idle, she can blow up the dojo and eliminate a group of infantry.


    Once the King Oni is down, Natasha will come back. Now you'll be free to assault the Empire base. Target the first airplane in the line and blow up them all. Natasha will take out buildings while Tanya moves northeast to clear the base. When it's all down, you'll be free to head west and take out the airfields with the chain-reaction explosion by destroying a plane.

    Use multigunner turrets with peacekeepers to protect your base from infantry attacks. The building to the west should be garrisoned to protect from enemy tanksWith the airfields down, you are given a base. Build a power plant immediately, then two refineries. While the refineries are being built, make two multigunner turrets and place them just northeast of the tennis courts. Stagger their placement so they don't have any line of sight issues. Once the second refinery is done, make a power plant then boot camp. Garrison two peacekeepers into the multigunner turrets.

    Once the peacekeepers are in the multigunner turrets, make six javelin soldiers and two peacekeepers to place in the building directly northwest of the tennis courts. This should hold your base defensively for a while. Now, hotkey the cryocopters and Tanya (separate). Use one cryocopter on each of three of the turrets to the southwest that are defending the assault destroyers.

    With the turrets frozen, use Tanya to destroy the lot of them. Use alt-click to set up a chain command so that she'll move from target to target, saving the frozen turrets for last. The last command in the chain should send Tanya onto the beach next to the assault destroyers. While Tanya and the cryocopters are en route, build a seaport and place it next to the Soviet base. When it's done, build ten dolphins.

    When you have control of the assault destroyers, select them by double clicking one of them. Order them to attack move onto the beach, while Tanya does the same. If this is executed correctly, you can lose no units. Blow up the entire base using Tanya, or the assault destroyers if she went out in blaze of glory. When everything that lives is gone, along with the buildings, send your cryocopters to the south. There is an ore mine there guarded by two King Onis. Set one cryocopter on each King Oni, then use an assault destroyer to shatter them both. Your destroyers can now return to the seaport for repairs.

    When the empire shipyards are destroyed, you'll have naval superiorityBuild an armor facility back at your main base and research the heightened clearance upgrade there. This will allow you to build some guardian tanks to help protect your main base. A small group of infantry will help them out. Make a nice mix. This may take some time.

    Make a prospector at your seaport, which can be deployed within range of the port (keep it safe) to research heightened clearance for that facility. This will allow you to train assault destroyers. Train another prospector and send it to where the King Onis were. Make it so that you have a total of eight assault destroyers. At this point, keep your co-commander in check by continually using take position. This will keep their fleet to the southeast, near their base.

    You should have ten dolphins and eight assault destroyers. Keep every naval unit you have hotkeyed, but keep them to the northest for the moment to protect from navy attacks from that direction. Your co-commander should be constantly reminded to take position near your base. This will allow the fool computer to build up forces. Once they have enough to assault the Empire shipyards, have them do it by ordering take position near them.

    The Empire will arrive with a pretty big fleet, and you should move your forces as soon as you are warned of them. Head southeast of the soviet base and prepare to take out a lot of ships. Thankfully, they won't come in too large a number at once and you can focus fire.

    Back at your land base, make some IFVs loaded with javelins to buff them up. You want to create a military consisting of six assault destroyers, ten guardian tanks (two in target painter mode), six IFVs, and a small army of infantry. Remember that you have access to three total expansions to help with income. Once you have a decently sized army, you can begin to assault the Empire main base. Use the formation move (hold right and left mouse buttons and drag on the terrain) so that the IFVs don't run ahead of your slower units. Be careful once in the main base. Try to focus on the key structures (military production) while only eliminating other units and turrets along the way.
