Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 Walkthrough
New York City: Blight on the Big Apple
Mission Objectives:Take your terror drones on a northwestern path. Your goal is to eliminate the allied ore collectors. This is not challenging. When you've got them all down, soviet reinforcements will come and you'll need to finish off Fort Bradley. Move your forces together slowly to the northeast to crush the allied base. Try to time your attack so that it comes along with your co-commander's and you'll be fine! Once it's over, move any remaining units to the west of the base near the New York Stock Exchange. If you're not sure what spot this is, it will be highlighted for you a bit later in the mission.
When you have base control, build a crusher crane followed by a super reactor and a barracks. Move your remaining army over to the stock exchange so that they can take out the allied army that approaches it. When they are all dead, there will be only two cryocopters which should use the magnetic satellite to dispatch.
Build two tesla coils on the southeastern edge of your base. Place them at the edge of the zone of control, about eight squares apart. These will serve to stop allied paradrops in the future. Now you should be free to build a battle lab, second super reactor and two shipyards. Set the first shipyard's rally point to the land northwest of your base and build three sputniks. Move your twinblades to that location so they can pick up the sputniks as they come. A single engineer will serve to capture the stock exchange, as well.
There are four ore mines to control with three sputniks. Take the place with two mines first, then proceed to capture the second and third while your engineer is transpored via twinblade to take the stock exchange. Make sure you dump your sputniks immediately so they don't get shot down by allied anti-air. Watch your power and build extra super-reactors when necessary.
The stock exchange will provide a nice boost to income, but remember you are sharing funds with your co-commander. Its initial capture will net you 3000 credits. If you lose any tesla coils, build a replacement. It's now time to start your vacuum imploder. You will also want to place some extra tesla coils to the northeast of your base and near your shipyards. Try to place two at each of the zones I specified. You won't have built any units yet if you had enough left over at the beginning. With your vacuum imploder countdown started, build four dreadnoughts at each of your two shipyards. Your goal is to get your navy running by the time the imploder is ready to launch. As long as you're within a minute or two, you're fine.
Now you need to build some extra defenses at your ore mines. A single tesla coil and sentry gun at each will do just fine. Place a third tesla coil near the southeastern edge of your base, and set up a tesla/sentry combo on the western side to stop the allied paradrop that comes later. You may need an extra super reactor or two to do this. Tanya will likely swim into your tesla coils near the shipyards, eliminating the threat she posed.
Base defenses are fine now, so you will want to train eight akula subs to escort your dreadnoughts. When the vacuum imploder is ready, fire it at the power plant cluster (look to the screenshot), dead in the middle of the eight of them on the eastern side of ellis island. Use your magnetic satellite against any allied carriers that you see on the map. The allied base's power will likely be offline at this point, slowing their building and taking turrets offline. Hotkey the dreadnoughts to their own attack group, and place the akulas in a second. Move your fleet slowly to the northeast and let the dreadnoughts do most of the work. The akulas are only there to defend them! Use attack move, and then target the construction yard and power plants. You will achieve near total superiority at this point, while your vacuum imploder counts down for a second shot.
With the tough beginning over, you'll be free to use your dreadnoughts to finish the allied navy. Send any extra akulas to the northeastern side of the allied base and eliminate their collectors and refineries. The dreadnoughts can now mop up the allied forces on the ground. The only important targets are the artillery. You should be safe even if you have losses at this point, so focus your fire on the statue of liberty when you feel comfortable.
