Rise of Legends hero Damanhur, The Desert FlameGeneral Information:
Damanhur is the fire hero for the Alin in Rise of Legends. She's able to fly and is, as such, decent at raiding outlying enemy mining positions. She costs 50 more wealth and timonium to summon than the other Alin heroes but her ability to fly is certainly useful. Whe she attacks she delivers the burning status affect to enemy units. Unfortunately, burning isn't all that powerful and I feel that she gets outshined by the other two heroes, especially Sawu.

Here are Damanhur's Stats at each level:

Damanhur's Spells

Damanhur's fiery touch spell sets enemy units aflame.Fiery Touch
Mana Cost: 300
The fiery touch spell sets enemies on fire within a moderately sized radius. It does no initial damage but deals damage each second after it's cast. The damage doesn't really come in all that handy but it is useful for softening up enemy units. You will probably use this more often than not just because you have the mana to do so. Its tactical uses are not that great.

Fully upraded, Damanhur's summon salamander spell brings forth a massive elder salamanderSummon Juvenile Salamander
Mana Cost: 600
This spell initially summons 2 juvenile salamanders to do your bidding for a time. With level 2, it brings one adult salamander and with the final level brings a single elder salamander. The juveniles aren't so great but once you get to elder you'll be happy you bought the spell. Elder salamanders are useful against all unit types but cannot attack air units. They breathe a massive jet of flame that extends quite far and damages anything it touches as well as setting the units on fire. You will obviously want to summon these bad boys at the beginning of a battle to help your forces.

Elder salamanders destroy buildings quite quickly and should be used to do so. If Damanhur is alone, god forbid, at least this spell will give her an ally to help her fight and possibly draw some fire from her.

Damanhur's wrath spell makes her much bigger and more powerful for a time.Wrath
Mana Cost: 750
Wrath is useful, but it still doesn't make Damanhur a great hero. With this spell, she nearly doubles in size and hurls a splashing fire attack rather than her normal one. Here are her stats at level 5 when using the Ultimate Wrath spell (the final level of this skill):

Ground/Air Attack: 33 / Siege Attack: 13 / Range: 16 / Hit Points: 2000 / Mana: 1980 (Deals splash damage)

The spell last for almost two minutes, though and does improve her combat prowess a lot. You will mainly be using this after you summon one of her elder salamanders or the massive fire golems. Unfortunately, spells can't be cast while she is in ultimate wrath form and you cannot revert back to her original form. Target the nastiest enemies on the battlefield while in this form. This spell shouldn't be wasted on infantry.

The fire golem is a massive beast. Use him to walk right over enemy infantry.Summon Fire Golem
Mana Cost: 1000
The summon fire golem spell is quite powerful in large engagements, especially those involving lots of enemy infantry. These guys have insane trample damage. They can pretty much eliminate a group of infantry simply by walking over them. At the first level of this spell, the fire golem doesn't last very long at all but when you upgrade it to greater fire golem (costing an additional 2000 wealth) you not only get a longer duration for the golem's visit but a second golem as well! Here are the stats for Damanhur's fire golem:

Ground Attack: 75 / Siege Attack: 70 / Air Attack: 25 / Air Attack Range: 12 / Siege Range: 2 / Hit Points: 2000

As you can see, the Fire golem has quite impressive stats. The only problem is that they are so slow. With that many hit points, if you summon this near an enemy city, it's likely that if you have other forces helping they would be hard pressed to counter the assault due to the golem's massive siege damage. Summoning these massive beasts into a battle is sure to intimidate and you will likely be cackling with glee as you watch the fire golem's stomp attack set units ablaze.
