Rise of Legends hero Giacomo, Inventor of MianaGeneral Information:
Giacomo is a master inventor. He fights in a massive battle suit he invented himself. With each level he gains he adds to your research points. He also brings with him a bonus to clockwork units' hit points. He has skills which heal and provide invincibility to your units. He is the most 'utility' of the Vinci heroes.

Giacomo's attacks deal splash damage, which is why they seem so low. He has less hit points than any of the Alin heroes but does possess some unique abilities.

Inspired Augmentation is a great skill. It heals units over a wide area (which grows larger with higher levels) and provides an attack strength and speed bonus. You will often find yourself using this due to the fairly swift cooldown. It's one of the best initial skills of all the heroes. Use this spell on your more expensive troops over the weaklings you're losing because they get a larger attack bonus from it. Whatever you do, be sure to try and target as many units as possible with the skill. It may also be wise to use it just before an attack so you can bunch your units together and try to affect as many of them as possible. It's highly recommended that you upgrade this skill. The increased healing and attack strength of further levels comes at a cheap cost but huge benefit.


Giacomo's sonic burst is great for its stun affect.Sonic Burst
Sonic Burst is a very useful spell. It deals damage (not great) but also stuns enemies within it's quite large area of affect. The cooldown isn't too long as this is a level 2 skill, so you will be able to use it in most battles if they don't come too often. Use the stunning shockwave on more dangerous foes. The stun length is about ten seconds but it's enough to help give your troops the edge they need.

This is one of Giacomo's spells that I'm not very fond of because it seems like it needs more micromanagement. I'm sure it could be very effective when used properly. Each level of the spell summons more clockwork men (and they grow in power, as well) who are set with a timed (or triggered) bomb. Set a demolition clockwork man to attack an enemy target and with a short delay he will blow himself up dealing a very large radius of damage. This is most useful against massed enemies. It does knock infantry off their feet, keeping them out of the fight.


Giacomo's super armor spell makes units invulnerable for a time.Super Armor
Giacomo's super armor spell is really quite amazing. It prevents damage to your forces over a very very large radius. Units under this status affect are completely invincible for 60 seconds at the first level and 120 at the second. This is amazing to use just as your forces are beginning an attack, especially at level 2. It's not hard to bring down a city if you have the proper forces to deal with different unit types quickly. This can also be used to save your ass in a large attack by the enemy! Your forces will be quite capable of defending themselves with this spell active. Save it for the worst of times or the best opportunity for this spell has a cooldown time of at least seven minutes.
