Mission 5: Revolution
Mission Objectives:As soon as you have control form all your units into a group and head directly south. There you'll find lieutenant sarah kerrigan. She's basically a souped up ghost. She can use the cloak (be invisible except in the presence of detector units) and lockdown (disable an enemy vehicle) abilities. The cloaking ability can be very useful as she can deal damage to enemies while cloaked. When you get to Kerrigan, the location of the Antigan base is revealed. Cross the bridge to the southeast and you'll come to three missile turrets. Destroy them then head northeast, killing the vulture. Further on the path to the base you'll encounter a wraith. Destroy it with your infantry and Kerrigan then head east toward the base. Use Kerrigan's cloaking ability then head southeast and destroy the bunker with her. Then move your units in to kill the missile turret. Kerrigan can't be detected now. Don't bother with the bunkers as you can rush them with your units in a moment. Instead, head to the southeast and scare off any units that are guarding the area. Now take Kerrigan into the base and assume control of it by stepping on the beacon.
You shouldn't lose any buildings but it's certainly faster this way. The bunkers you take command of will attack the confederate bunkers. When it's over and the base is secured begin building plenty of resource collecters - at least 6 SCVs on minerals and 3 on gas. Begin building a military and repair any bunkers that were damaged in the revolt. Finally, stock up the existing bunkers with marines.
The only buildings you need to construct here are an academy and engineering bay. Also notice that you can now build wraiths and dropships. Build a control tower on the starport and you can research the cloaking ability for the wraiths. You will absolutely need some dropships on this mission as the enemy base is across a river. The confederates will attack you with wraiths so you may want to place a missile turret or two near your borders. Build three dropships (loaded mainly with marines but you should add a few vultures as well.. leave Kerrigan and Raynor at home), and a couple of wraiths and prepare to assault the enemy base.
When you're getting restless to begin the assault scan the southeastern corner of the map. You'll see the best landing zone. It is also a vespene gas refinery so it's a good economic target. If you have the cloaking ability for your wraiths this is easy. Build two of them and send them down there, cloaked, and attack the defending confederate wraiths. You can do a lot more damage here too. There isn't a detector in a large area here that you can just have your way with their forces. At any rate, clear a good landing zone and send in your troop transports.
This shouldn't be too hard but you can see why I chose not to bring Raynor and Kerrigan. If something goes wrong you'd probably lose them too and it'd be game over. Slowly march your way to the west, cleaning out everything in sight. If things get rough and many of your units are dead or dying send for reinforcements from your base. It shouldn't take two long to build some decent help for them with two factories and two barracks. As you go, focus your fire on enemy units/bunkers first and then the missile towers. You want them destroyed so you can bring your wraiths in to do some damage from the sky. Before too long the enemy base should be toast and you'll be victorious.
