Chapter 1: Rise of the Naga
Main Quest: The Demon's Trail
Follow Illidan's Trail
Maiev must survive
As you head to the north, you'll be attacked by a group of Mur'gols. Use focused fire to bring them all down quickly. A little to the west, take the rune of lesser healing. There are a group of enraged furbolgs further on. You shouldn't hesitate to use Maiev's abilities to finish them faster because there is a rune of mana to be found.
Continue on the path to encounter some satyrs. Use Maiev's Fan of Knives to damage them all a little then focus fire like crazy. After the cutscene where you receive your reinforcements, and a new quest, hit the crates to grab yet another Rune of Mana.
Optional Quest: Slay the Wildkin:
Approach the Wildkin to the east, and follow him to his smaller friends. Kill them first, using Maiev's fans liberally. Try to back out any troops that get really damaged in the fight, as there's a rune of healing inside a hut for after the battle. When he's downed, you'll get a tome of agility for Maiev.
To the north, the Naga will finally show their ugly faces. A good tactic to use in battles like this one, is to blink behind the melee with Maiev and use Fans to hit more enemies with the skill. Head east after the battle to get a Tome of Intelligence from a crate, then head for the stream and cross it.
Optional Quest: Search and Rescue:
Find the Imprisoned Night Elves
Head to the northwestern corner and kill the Satyr that hold the night elves in cages. Kill them all and free two groups. If you've been doing well, you'll need to form a second group to control all of them. Head east and take out the Demonic Gate, then watch the cutscene.
Main Quest: Burning Boats
At least two boast must survive.
Move quickly and focus fire on each of the enemies in your path to the boats. Don't forget to blink/fan combo with Maiev. You don't have to be in too much of a hurry because the boats further down the line are not under heavy attack by any means. Work your way to the flying enemies and bring them down, then move southeast and kill the few remaining Naga.
