Rescue the Dwarves to gain some free units that will help you complete the mission with the HumansMain Quest: Balnazzar

  • Destroy Balnazzar's Purple Base
    Optional Quest: Ironforge Dwarves
  • Locate the Missing Dwarves
This is an interesting mission, in which you control two bases. Make some spirit towers to defend your undead base from the south and east, while you also upgrade your necropolis to a black citadel. Back at the Human base, make an extra peasant or two to harvest lumber, then take Garimathros and his starting forces to the north. Leave a couple knights behind to defend the south part of the base. Work your way north with the Human Commander until you make it to where the dwarves are stationed. Break down the boulders to gain a lot of dwarves for your army. You will need more farms to support more units, and should upgrade your knights while you work on the undead base.

A Pincer attack, where the Humans and Undead Scourge meet in the middle will win you the missionThe Undead's goal should be to work on filling two to three attack groups. Abominations are great, as well as crypt fiends. You will need the web upgrade for your crypt fiends, so grab it. I also recommend upgrading your necromancers to master level and training about twelve of them. They will be your second army that will go in after Sylvanis' to raise corpses to increase your chances later. Make plenty of knights and a few extra riflemen with the humans. Work on getting 100/100 with both bases. It should not take long, but you will be attacked in between times. Respond quickly and you'll minimize losses. Make some extra towers to defend both bases. The humans should focus on the southwestern side. This will act as a bit of insurance should you fail in your first assault.

Balnazzar's base is not very difficult to assault, it's just very large. Send the Undead in from the north while the humans attack from the east. Use the undead first to draw a large portion of their army toward you. Use charm on any Frost wyrms, and Doom on a weak unit to get a doom guard summoned. Use unholy frenzy on your abominations to speed their attacks significantly. They'll take a good deal of damage from this, but will dish it more rapidly, as well, making it a great day to have an army of necromancers on your side. When the time is right, send in the Human army. There should be more than enough forces left to finish off the purple base. Use avatar as soon as your paladin sees enemies that need to be felled, and keep up the holy light on the undead to speed things up. The undead and humans should meet about midway through, where their pincer attack will finish off the last dread lord for good.
