Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge Walkthrough

Yuri's Revenge is an excellent expansion for Red Alert 2. The Allies and Soviets both gained new units, and for multiplayer and skirmish matches you are able to control the entirely new Yuri faction. The inability to play a Yuri campaign annoyed a lot of people, but his faction is very fun to play regardless. I would have loved to have made a walkthrough, so I'm one of the disappointed masses. You will be forced to learn Yuri's new units as you go, without the introductory phases of the previous Red Alert 2 to guide you. Still, you will learn a lot about how to play his faction as you progress through the campaign and see how nasty some of his units can be!

On to the walkthrough! I'm sorry for the lack of screenshots but I think I explain things well enough for anyone to understand. Read further below to check out some of the units in Yuri's army that you are sure to encounter.

Guide to Yuri's New Units

Infantry
Initiate: Yuri's basic infantry is a noob psychic. But we're talking powerful, here. They can dish damage quickly in groups using their psychic fire attack.

Brute: Brutes are big and tough. They can go toe to toe with tanks and attack dogs can't instant kill them. They are slow in combat, however due to their melee attack.

Virus: These are Yuri's specialized infantry units. They can take out masses of infantry quickly but can't hurt vehicles.

Yuri Clone: Able to turn the tide of battle quickly by mind controlling enemy units. Only certain units are immune, like harvesters and the special allied robot tanks. They can kill all infantry, even friendly in a nearby radius with a psychic wave attack.

Yuri Prime: The man himself. He is like an upgrade of the clones, basically. His mind controlling powers extend to certain buildings, he can float, and he is able to avoid killing his own infantry when using psychic wave.

Vehicles
Slave Miner: This is a combination between a refinery and an ore harvester. Uses slaves to gather materials and processes them when deployed.

Gatling Tank: Your basic anti-air unit but capable of doing more damage over time. They can also hurt infantry, but keep in mind their turrets must spin up to do great damage.

Lasher Light Tank: Capable tanks, fast and lightly armored as you might expect. They should be in any army both as fodder and to take out buildings.

Chaos Drone: This unit can create havoc among an enemy army by making them attack each other. Used wisely these can really change the outcome of a battle.

Magnetron: This thing is truly odd. It is basically a big magnet that can pull anything metal. This makes it do great damage to structures, and able to do crazy things like pull ships out of water!

Mastermind: Wickedly frustrating units to encounter. Masterminds can convert three enemy units (more causes it to be damaged). A pair of these with other units to help the mind controlled units fight can be devastatingly effective.

Floating Disc: Good for base assault, and it has special abilities that can shut down enemy power, or even steal cash from a refinery. Somehow UFOs fit right in with the other crazy units for this faction.

Boomer Submarine: Yuri's stealth sub. Good against land and sea units, and can be very deadly due to their invisibility.
