Fallout 3 Agatha's Song Walkthrough (Side Quest) - Guide by Carl
Agatha's house is located 5 squares north and 1 square east from Megaton. Set your map marker there to make finding that area easier. If you find yourself in a canyon with a foot bridge above you, work your way up to the cliffs. That bridge is the only way into Agatha's house, and you've got to approach it from the west. When you've found it, go inside and be very kind (there's reasons for this later). Talk to Agatha a while and she'll mention her violin is handmade and she could use a 'real' one. There happens to be one surviving in the Wasteland, so she's in luck. It's in Vault 92, which is not very hard to get to.
Agatha tells you to go to Vault-Tec Headquarters to find the location of Vault 92, but this is not necessary. It's a simple find, really -- 4 squares west and 1 square south from the northeastern corner of the map. When you've found it, go inside prepared to fight some mirelurks in all likelihood. There shouldn't be too many, however and the rest of the monsters inside are usually bloatflies. Anyway, when you first enter the first main room, there will be a door to atrium dead ahead and a door to classroom/labs on the left. Take the classrooms door and follow the path. Go straight, following the signs to the classroom. You'll go around a corner and be met with a door to 'sound testing'. This is clearly the door you'll need.
From the entrance here, take a right around the corner and head straight until the bend, at the bend take another right, move a few yards then look to the left for the stairs down to the Lab. Once in the lab, follow the curve, then take a left and another left. You'll be in a room with a recording studio computer. Use this terminal to open the recording studio on the other side. Make your way around and grab the Stradivarius from a table in the room. Looks like the special case did survive all this time. Return to the main entrance, back through the utility door near the classrooms. Head to the western end of this generically named 'Vault 92' area to find the Living Quarters. Time to grab that sheet music.
The 'music paper' Agatha asked for can be found in the form of a Sheet music book in the male dorm of this area. Look inside the dorm for the door that leads to the bathroom. Inside one of the stalls, behind a toilet, you can find the book. Once you've found both objectives in this area, you can choose whether you want to wipe it of enemies or come back later. I preferred to leave as Mirelurks are annoying. Return to Agatha, regardless.
Return to Agatha and, as usual, be nice to her. Give her the Soil Stradivarius first, and she won't mention the music paper. This will complete the quest. Speak to her again and let her know you have a surprise for her. Ask for a reward, politely and she'll give you her husband's Blackhawk, which is a custom scoped .44 magnum, one of the most powerful small guns in the game. If you were nice to Agatha, it'll come in fully repaired condition with a dozen .44 rounds for your enjoyment. The Blackhawk can be repaired with normal .44s, which aren't very common. On the bright side, when you do decide to bring out this gun in a battle, your enemies are going to feel it!
