Quest Start: After finding the G.E.C.K. in the quest Finding the Garden of Eden
  • Escape after talking to President Eden
    or
  • Accept Eden's Quest

No matter what you say to Colonel Autumn, who interrogates you, the president will eventually ask to speak to him. The Colonel will leave the room allowing President Eden to talk to you one on one. Listen to what he says, and get your stuff from the locker in front of you. Be sure to equip your armor and weapons before you set out. Note that this is your only chance to get the Energy Weapons Bobblehead, so I'll fist tell you how to get that.

How to get the Energy Weapons Bobblehead:
Clear the 3B-3A area. Literally, find everything you can and kill every Enclave soldier you can so that you can end up with an (almost) full repaired set of Enclave Power Armor. Work your way to the second floor when the third is cleared. On the second, do not leave until you have the energy weapons bobblehead. This is the absolute last chance to get the item. When you're done with the third level of Raven Rock, open 'Door to Raven Rock - Level 2'.

Work your way through level 2, killing everything. Even if you're nearing max level the experience is still nice. If you are max level by now, you will likely still want the Energy Weapons Bobblehead. When you find signs of 2C, head there for the Bobblehead. 2B can be explored to find a number of ammo lockers and the like. You will also likely meet Anna Holt here, who is useless to the storyline. She betrayed all the scientists of Project Purity and has joined the Enclave to help them. When you're done talking to her, regardless, she'll run away. I put a bullet into her neck for betraying us for the fun of it. There is a minor loss of Karma, but this is Wasteland Justice. Do Not go into the Raven Rock control room until you have gained the bobblehead. You will be locked out.

When you have your bobblehead, go into the Raven Rock control room and climb to the top after the guardian robots grant you access. You have multiple options when speaking with President Eden. You can agree to use the FEV virus, or even confuse him into an infinite loop that causes self-destruction. It's all up to you. No matter what you pick, you'll have to take the FEV virus with you before you can escape out the hatch by Eden. The Virus is stored in the computer in a shelf that extends when you talk to the President, in case you can't find it. Head out the 1A door to watch a scene.

You will be led to 1B, which leads to a Hangar and 1C. Use this directon to make your way out of Raven Rock, and to freedom. On your way, watch for Enclave Soldiers with Plasma Rifles, Gatling Lasers, Microfusion Cells and other things that are not so common. Grab everything you can. It is worth it to ditch something you can buy in a shop for many of these goodies. Watch for a terminal or two that can be hacked to drop a barrier and allow access to more ammunition. Once you make it out, and return to Elder Lyons at the Citadel, you will have completed the last Fallout 3 Main Quest, The American Dream, and you are just before the point of No Return. If you rescued Fawkes while in Vault 87, he will likely be waiting for you outside the Enclave Fortress. As you stand outside, watch the view of Vertibirds exploding if you completed it in a way in which President Eden destroys the base. I generally stop here if I want to do other Side Quests. Gaining level 20 is fun too, as you can increase your power even further. It's likely you are already overpowered for the final quest anyway, so why not go for bust.
